Mark Flemming

My name is Mark Flemming and I joined a band at the age of 20 years old, my first gig was on Christmas night 1986 in Donegal.

I stayed with that band for 10 years touring Ireland learning my chosen profession, as a live sound engineer.

In 1997 I got accepted onto a Degree course in Sound Technology at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and completed my degree.    

I returned home to Newry in 2000, and worked for many different bands, groups and acts.  In 2005 I got into the recording side of the music business with the Jamming factory located in the WIN Business Park. It’s not the easiest of jobs at times, but the rewards can be great!

My advice is: if you have a gut feeling about a career you want to follow, don’t be afraid to go out and ask questions about it.
